A remarkable piece of early 20th-century German industrial design, this Stolzenberg Clapet filing cabinet dates from circa 1910–1930. Constructed from solid oak and pine, it exemplifies the clapet (flap) filing system that revolutionised office organisation during the Art Deco era.

Each flap drops open to reveal indexed filing sections, combining ingenious engineering with honest, robust construction. Today it works equally well as a distinctive storage piece in a home office, study, or as a characterful industrial accent.
